What a harmonious and imposing square; the bohemian city scent that permeates it calms me.
We’re walking through Bogotá’s historic center and suddenly we find ourselves in the middle of a world of people: theater scenes on one side and live music on the other. For a moment, I felt like I was in Paris during the Belle Epoque. We’ve walked for about 15 minutes since we began this walking tour of the city, and after passing through the mystical alley of stones with stories embedded in some of them, we find ourselves here in this square.
What a harmonious and imposing square; the circus music that plays there calms me.
I like its round, backless shape, which compels us all to interact, even if it’s just with our eyes; it’s a magical square full of life and alive in itself. I heard somewhere that it was the heart of Bogotá, and now I understand that it is; the square is the heart, and the heartbeat is the artists, the artisans, all the people and businesses that are there. These always-moving buildings pump energy into Colombia’s capital.
What a harmonious and imposing plaza! I never tire of looking at it; I’ll remember it for a lifetime.
