Get acquainted with Bogota’s vibrant history, culture, and cuisine on this group walking tour. Together we´ll visit the iconic Monserrate for panoramic views of the city, stroll through the streets of La Candelaria, and discover Colombia’s rich cultural heritage at the Museo de Oro or Botero Museum. Along the way, we´ll indulge in traditional local dishes and learn about the city’s exciting history from your local guide.
Things to know before you book:
- Ages, so long as you´re able to walk for extended periods over long distances you will enjoy the walking in bogota
- Small groups of people to better enjoy the best bogota walking

Itinerary – these are the stops that we make but the order in which we visit them is subject to change:
Start At: The Cranky Croc Hostel, Cl. 12d #346, Bogotá, Colombia
- **Please make sure to go inside the hostel to the reception desk and inform the receptionist that you are here for this tour.**
- We will wait 15 minutes from the starting time for everyone to arrive. If you are going to be late, please contact us by WhatsApp before the start of the tour.
- Please give yourself enough time when leaving your hotel/accomodation as traffic in Bogotá can be very dense, and sometimes it´s difficult to order via a ride-share service (Uber, Cabify, etc.)
Stop: Monserrate, Santa Fe, Bogotá, Colombia
- We will start this experience by visiting the most iconic view of Bogotá – the view from Monserrate. We will take the cable car or the train up the mountain to enjoy the crisp air and breathtaking views.
- Duration: 1.5-2 hours
Stop: Candelaria, Candelaria, Valle del Cauca Department
- We visit three different local food places within the historical center of La Candelaria to sample traditional Colombian cuisine
- We will make stops at different historical buildings and churches along the way
Stop: Plaza Del Chorro Del Quevedo, Carrera 2 at Calle 13, Bogotá Colombia
- Location of the original Spanish settlement of Bogotá
- Duration: 30 minutes
Stop: Gold Museum (Museo del Oro), Carrera 6 No.15-88, Bogota 110321 Colombia
- We will visit one of Bogotá´s famous museums
- Duration: 1 hour
Stop: Museo Botero, Calle 11 No. 4-41, Bogota 250051 Colombia
- In the event that the Gold museum is closed, we will visit the Botero Museum
- Duration: 1 hour
Stop: Plaza de Bolivar de Bogota, Plaza Alvarez, Bogota 111711 Colombia
- We will visit the main square of Bogotá and take in the extraordinary architecture and many vendors
- Duration: 30 minutes
End at: The Cranky Croc Hostel, Cl. 12d #346, Bogotá, Colombia
- We will end our tour at the original starting point
